The American dream is still relevant in the modern world as it was in the twentieth century when the phrase was coined. In essence, all men should be accorded the chance to a good life. The independence philosophy is where an American citizen has to attain certain rights, among them liberty and should always be in pursuit of happiness. In the modern world, this is still relevant in that the government should ensure that all citizens have the basic requirements. Furthermore, the government should strive to ensure that opportunities are within reach of every qualified citizen to create a perfect country projected in the American dream.
The top of the agenda should be to eliminate the police department’s current issues that have been creating unrest among civilians. This is because it goes against the ideas of the American dream for creating a better land. Building more homes and reducing the rising rates of unemployment will go a long way toward achieving the American dream. Consequently, reducing terrorism in the states will be a step in the government’s right to take. To wrap it all, the American dream is achievable as long as we set out to achieve it with the right motives.
