- What are the legal rights of the union?
A union is an act of joining together of people with a common purpose; the union has the following rights;
- Equal rights to participate in activities in the union
- Should have the freedom of speech
- Right in nominating candidates
- Right in conducting a secret ballot
- The right is the rate of dues setting, assessment, and fees.
- Right of protection against improper discipline
- b) Legal rights for the management
Management is the act of getting together to accomplish the desired objectives and goals by using available resources. The management has the following rights;
- A right to contract for the caretaking of common property in a corporate body
- A right of real estate ownership
- An authorization in letting lots in the scheme
- c) Legal rights for employees
Employees have the following legal rights in their workplaces
- Right to receive equal pay for equal work done
- Right against discrimination and harassment
- Right to be given reasonable accommodation needed due to religious belief or medical conditions.
- Rights for their shared information of genetic and medical with the employer to remain confidential
- Right to report any discrimination and participate in the investigation of the discrimination
