What I Like or Dislike From the Articles
Families form essential elements in society, and so strong ties and binds need to be embraced if stress-free life is anything to appreciate. From the articles, the family ties and binds, and how gays and lesbians manage their intergenerational relationships stand out. From the “Walls and Bridges” article and bearing in mind that gay and lesbianism is not celebrated in the society, I like how the gay men work their relationship out without seeking financial support from the families.
I also support the idea of how much they want to be respected with the demand for intergenerational boundaries around their unions. I wouldn’t say I like that lesbians seek support and emotional balance from the families, yet they have chosen that as their path in life. In the “Family ties and binds,” I like that family offers emotional, financial, and psychological support to the family members. So in the event of stress, gays and lesbians can seek happiness from their families.
What I Learned and Found Useful
Interestingly, gays and lesbians can defend their emotional and intergenerational boundaries. This statement implies that they want their rights officially formulated and protected. In so doing, people who find themselves in such connections or unions will not commit suicide through depression and stress caused by the public.
Whether I Disagree With Anything
I’m afraid I have to disagree with the idea of picking up a gay or lesbian path and consequently seeking support from family members or relatives. If one is bold enough and opts to become a gay or lesbian with self-proclaimed rights, then they should be willing to take up the challenge to the very end.
