Feminist therapy emphasizes on empowering women and supporting them to discover ways to break hindrances, including stereotypes that might block their development and growth. It tends to focus on strengthening the clients in areas, including communication, self-esteem, relationship, assertiveness. Therefore, feminist therapy is appropriate for individual clients. Solution-focused therapy (SFT) is a new approach for many individuals that focuses on solutions instead of problems (Lawley, Tompkins, & Manea, 2018). SFT therapy is effective in helping various people, including families, individuals, couples, or children) to discover their existing resources while anticipating how to use their strengths to resolve their problems. Thus, SFT is suitable for individual, marriage, and family clients. Narrative therapy separates clients from their issues. It encourages individuals to utilize their skills to reduce issues present in their lives. Narrative therapy is suitable for married clients, as it effectively increases marital satisfaction indicators (Ghavibazou, Hosseinian, & Abdollahi, 2020). Individuals and family clients can also benefit from this therapy. The journals and high-authority sites like NCBI provide empirical evidence that supports the use of these theories.

It might be crucial to consider using SFT to address the client’s present problems due to pressure from insurance companies and the legal needs since SFT highlights the client’s capability to solve problems (Atkins, 2016). SFT helps clients envision their solution and develop a framework needed to resolve problems and attain goals (BoVee-Akyurek, Chenail, & Erolin, 2019). Thus, it can deal with any legal issue or pressure from the insurance industry. A counselor can emphasize goal-oriented questions, goal clarification, and a miracle question technique to support clients for a short-term period. My skills will change to focus on what is working for the client since my time is limited.
