Topic: Corona Virus Taught us Lesson
In regard to the pandemic that is currently ravaging the world, on a personal level, I feel that this pandemic is more of a blessing than a tragedy. However, I chose to write about this topic after effectively analyzing several critical aspects of the economy, how they were before, and how they are in the aftermath of the pandemic. My own experience in these aspects of the economy prompted me to write about this topic.
First, before the pandemic, the majority of the health facilities across the world had the most incapacitated facilities, few Intensive Care Unit beds, and unavailability of the essential drugs. Ironically, after the pandemic struck the world, Governments and all other related health institutions rushed to allocate billions of funds to the incapacitated hospitals and health centers. My point of concern is this, despite the prior existence of other killer diseases, why was this not done before? Why didn’t the concerned ministries capacitate all our health sectors before the pandemic? However, in my view, this pandemic came in the form of a blessing so that all our health facilities can be capacitated to the highest level possible.
As I conclude, I believe that before the coronavirus, there were other killer diseases that killed millions daily across the world. This should be a point of concern for everybody since this idea of governments in conjunction with the World Health Organization improving our health facilities should have been done earlier for the sake of other existing killer diseases. This is why I believe coronavirus was more of a blessing than a tragedy.
