Leadership is the consistent act of influence where someone in a higher political arena sets the pace and direction for a state, organization, or movement. It entails the selfless, passionate, and coherent course in making a trail for which followers or the rest of his group follow. As an inspiring choice, leadership should bring forth the mission and objectives as envisioned to meet a particular goal for an organization or a country. Leadership varies from one point to another according to the existing frameworks and from different status quo. For example, there is leadership at the community level, religious institutions level, governmental and campaigning groups level, et al. strategically. The role of leadership helps shape and mobilize the public to engage and keep up with the spirit of accomplishing and engaging with the vision. A leader who is focused on his role to deliver his mandate of clear and competent leadership must formulate his motives in a clear and precise winning strategy that convinces his delivery subjects. Primarily focusing on UAE and its transformation leadership over centuries, we have all the reasons to believe that competent leadership can be realized in stages if emphasis between the system and the subjects in a government system is not in any way compromised. The United Arab Emirates is a build-up of seven emirates founded as a federation in December 1971; they include the renowned Dubai, Abu Dhabi, and Ajman, among others.
Consequently, every one of the emirates has its specific ruler. Significantly becoming a subject of international recognition, UAE revolutionary wise leadership has seen the undeveloped Arab states transform from low economic status to developed ones. The president and the leadership system utilize major social gatherings to communicate their development goals to their citizens to push for their agendas. This has successfully aided the economic transition and leadership much simpler. This paper seeks to analyze UAE leadership to help prepare the region for the coming century.

The government does so by sourcing revenues from the exportation of oil, petroleum, and natural gas, among other non-oil resources. Whereas revenue from the oil remains the core funding system for the numerous development initiatives for UAE government, non-oil resources like tourism, credit from international monetary funds, other developed states, and trade organizations are other major sources. Various infrastructure setups that are meant to benefit future generations include the establishments of inhabitable human settlement on other planets, which aims to diversify the scientific research and space sciences. This will further advance the state in terms of technology. Research diversification helps the country to realize better opportunities in the technology sector, which places it in a better competitive position among other developed countries. Future introspections for advanced research have been scheduled for the future, such as the setting up of complex constructions like laboratories, various study sites involved in studying food security, and learning institutes to equip trainees with knowledge in conducting agricultural tests. The transportation sector in coming up with autonomous vehicles is another strategy that is meant for the UAE’s future infrastructure. Autonomous vehicles aimed at reducing costs incurred in transportation and the pollution of the environment will be an achievement in the future, as foreseen. Infrastructural development of self-driving vehicles is a step further in minimizing the loss of lives and reducing traffic congestion on the streets. The infrastructure technology mapped toward the future in developing autonomous vehicles will see UAE save on urban parking lots, saving the amount of fuel consumption by automobiles while saving the environment from harmful carbon emissions. Detrimental effects of pollution from vehicular emissions will be reverted to the former sustainable levels that are manageable. Progressive advancements in technology have seen the development of software that detects the level of emissions, detects and controls the traffic, which in turn saves time and resources that would be used for hiring workforce. On the other hand, UAE aims to start-up clean energy that is environmentally friendly and renewable. This type of energy comes from clean sources like solar, geothermal, wave, and tidal power. UAE plans on engaging with international organizations to create a common pool that can help create an avenue for raising loans in the clean energy sector at reduced interest rates. This move aims to create a human orientation through technical training programs to equip them with energy production knowledge. This domestically produced energy will save the UAE from the costs used in the importation of fuels. The leadership in the planning of all this will also create employment opportunities, which further stimulates the various emirates’ economic expansions. Abu Dhabi’s transport mobility management strategy by the UAE is intended to challenge the current usage of the transport facilities in the emirates and appraise a sustainable use of means of the transportation network. Facilitating a better and improved public transport network enhances economic activities like industries, trade, and swift movement of raw materials and labor. Without delays in the movement of vital factors of productions, there is a noticeable growth limit in which their circular flow ensures consistency. Actions that may maintain or increase efficiency include management and regulation of transport charges, incorporating regional linkages of major transport systems, and the transportation sector’s liberation. Besides the social and economic impact of transportation, it plays a vital role in distributing environmental pollution. An increase of more private vehicles on the roads has a significant value in raising the number of emissions than the prevailing measures apparent in lowering this phenomenon by the government. The UAE government is determined to develop multiple, strategic, and practically feasible ways to make it possible for infrastructural development realization, which is key for future generations.
UAE leadership has established diplomatic relationships with foreign states, international conventions, and cooperation (Almezaini, 2012, p. 22). One of the essential strategies of the UAE leadership is to bring close the world by creating close relations ties with most of the countries of the globe to enable them to realize future goals. The input of one nation is not enough to realize and achieve its agenda without the input of other nations. Notable development achieved from the assistance sourced from the cooperation-based relations is notable as most foreign aids and grants come from the nations. In trying to grow their relationship from a global sphere, the UAE government joined the United Nations and the Arab league together with other countries. The UAE-US relationship is of vital interest. UAE and the United States are close allies in that both share common interests among other shared values. The relationship between the two is particularly configured on mutual interests. The United States cooperates with the UAE to promote security, share security technology, and work together to disarm international terrorism. Both countries’ defense forces train in troops together, intending to achieve a common outlook and deter regional and interregional instability. The UAE’s investments have aided promote economic progress that has seen successful jobs being created in America. However, strengthened relationships between UAE and other federal governments have seen the transfer of workforces to the country where the UAE overall depends on migrant workers. In this cooperation, workers from India, Pakistan, and other countries have seen their way to UAE and started earning their living from working and bettering the economy through securing job opportunities. Natural resources in the UAE has created an enabling environment that allows it to be the largest consumer of labor migrants. Having a strong base of natural resources such as the oil and gas reserves. Though the more diverse system called the Emiratisation manages and limits the number of employees that the companies would take in various sectors. The creation of relation ties with foreign states is in one way or another aimed at sharing of knowledge that would transform and bring devolution into the future system of the cooperating countries. The UAE’s move to strengthen its relationship with Australia is aimed at securing extensive trade relations and deepening intergovernmental cooperation that is anticipated to bring peaceful coexistence in utilizing fuel and energy reserves. The UAE government’s role has been creating embassies that are meant to deepen the ties in the interstate relationship in trying to achieve the future aspirations and goals of the future.
The UAE set visionary goals that are seemingly achievable in the coming century in alignment with the sustainable development goals (Nozad Abdel Rahman Al-Hiti, 2009 p. 89). Reiterating how to achieve long-term development goals while meeting the short-term ones, UAE has calculated phases of development to see the nations achieve the intended planning initiatives with minimal time wasted. As the monarchical dynasties aimed at uniting the emirates, less has been achieved towards such a move since those in power concentrated more on maintaining it rather than how to deliver the manifestos of achieving the development goals. Whatsoever, the UAE has derived strategies and visions towards which they will be working to ensure they achieve the future century’s goal. These visionary goals are aligned in course with global visionary sustainable development goals for the nations. Consistent and continuous meetings between rulers of the different emirates paved the way for discussions and agreements with foresight to come up with informed unions that would push the visions to a better future. The task force for the development and accomplishment of the missions and visions came up with the following suggestions that would see the future century a success rather than what has not been achieved but anticipated. The visionary goals and objectives were not limited to; human capacity building, youth development and empowerment, women empowerment, environmental protection from degradation, raising the agricultural sector to secure food security and cushion the effects of hunger, afforestation, Arabic and Islamic cohesion, among others. The insights embedded in the government’s regulatory measures are remarkable in realizing a dynamic economic system that is strengthened by its citizens’ cooperation. The UAE has worked in strengthening its foreign ties that are believed to be the basis of every progressively growing economy. Pursuing a sustainable business environment for the emirates is one major motive that the government sought, emulating a sound economic strategy into establishing stable and flowing policies that favor businesses set up is key in the development agenda. Multisector generation of technology and innovations has raised the country’s position in the creation of competitive products globally. This places UAE in a better place worldwide in terms of technology infrastructure. Working for a nation demands true citizenship, where the mandate to build a nation is wholly placed in the unity between the key players who are dedicated to reaching a specific objective. Tactical plans to define the way goals will be met in the future are very vital in accomplishing such projects. The aspect of tolerance in the UAE has formed a pool of confidence in the leadership program as well as that of the citizens in the struggle to offset intimidates of either racial or strengths but create a hallmark of prosperity not easily bent into weaknesses in realizing a bright future. Whereas there may exist various recommendations, the most obvious one includes the strengthening of the stakeholders’ security and protecting their privacy. Strengthening and eliciting transparency in all sectors of the economy will reinforce mutual trust between nations and avoid possible conflicts that may arise. Government agencies, ambassadors, and international stakeholders must be clever in executing core mandates.
