Thesis statement: While many people occasionally assume the dangers of airplanes, it is notable that this has been one of the controversial topics that need to be addressed, especially with the recent allegations towards Boeing, a leading manufacturer of these airplanes.

The source above is a Facebook video where Book trip took on Jack Hersch, the author of the book “The Dangers of Automation in Airliners: Accidents waiting to happen.” Being an instrument-rated commercial pilot, Hersch, through the video, is able to show what automation means to the flight industry. Through the video, he puts the viewers in the cockpit through nine different flight incidents, and seven plane crashes in a span of 10 years. Steamed lived on 4 November this year, the currency of the video is unquestionable as it captures the most recent air accidents. The video is relevant about a book on the dangers of automation, a critical issue that has been the major cause of most previous plane crashes. The video is accurate as it talks about some of the things that lead to plane crashes noting identifiable instances of the same in the near past. On the interview is Jack Hersch, a top-rated commercial pilot with vast experience; the video’s reliability is hence unquestionable. The purpose of the video is to show the viewers how automation has been a danger to airplanes. Hence, the source is good, reliable, and reputable from a reputable person and being from the current time.

As evident, the source is misinformation because of several issues. The information is current within the last five years, and this makes it a potential credible source. However, the information from the post is not reliable since the person who posted it has not added any source of the videos. There is no video authority because just a normal random Facebook user does the post with no authority on matters plane crash. The information is, however, accurate as it shows cases where planes crash. Most planes crash during takeoff and when landing, and this is well depicted in the videos. The video’s purpose is to show a plane crash scenarios, something relevant to this research topic. The source is hence unreliable and cannot be used as a good source.

The article is reliable because it is published under a reputable magazine’s name. As evident in the statistics and its information, the article is accurate, and authority is clear in the publisher’s name and references made. The article is hence a good one and can be a reliable source of information.
