Leadership refers to the ultimate influence that we have on our external surroundings, whether about our close family members or at the organization’s workstation. This study is based on accounts of two life stories on greed and prejudice. In search of a better life and opportunity for his family, the Zantoko family considered moving from Congo to Maly-Gormont, a small rural town with no black population. Marly -Gormont, not culturally diversified, had, for the first time, witnessed an interaction between people of black and non- black descent. Dr. Zantoko emulated the highest degree of integrity. He turned down very lucrative offers from dishonest and corrupt leaders from his hometown by refusing to associate and undertake their dirty bidding.

Additionally, he had great desire and motivation in promoting core values rather than selfish and worldly gains. It is explained in the text that instead of pursuing material possession while focusing on inherent values that bring feelings of self-satisfaction, he chose to remain committed to improving integrity by reducing corruption cases. Even more, he was well steered by humility, loyalty, and responsibility.

It was expected that the cultural disparities would manifest into conflicts since, at initial stages, the residents did not show a positive response to the basic gesticulation that was offered by the Zantoko family. They would fail to respond when greeted, an act that affected Dr. Zantoka’s wife Anne made her feel alone, forgotten, and even ignored.

Additionally, conflict was also eminent on how the extended family conducted their worship; they were more spiritual, liked dancing, and had a louder tone, which was the opposite in the community where dancing and singing aloud was considered interruptive.

Furthermore, remembrance of their World War II service was another cause for conflict since they again came in loud cheerful music that caused a lot of discomfort to the locals. It is essential to balance your identity and adapt to changes in the environment whenever you move to a new abode. In the process of adapting to the new environment, they faced a lot of hurdles.

Among other things that they used to ensure while accustoming to their new surroundings and ensure survival was the courage to fight to stereotype and befriending schoolmates who seemed not to have a liking for them. Normally the children were bullied and given funny nicknames like “Darkie,” an act that was very hurt breaking but still had to deal with.who was his father’s client.

Lebli became friends with a classmate who was his father’s client for a period of time and suffered from serious skin disease. His sister Diarra was a soccer player who led the community soccer team to victory .Dr. Zantoko stayed optimistic, and by believing in himself as a qualified and seasoned doctor, he found the opportunity to interact with the locals creating a better relationship consistently.

Overall, Zantoko emulated high integrity levels, which he only compromised at one time when he broke the news of moving to Brussel by the end year. She felt lied to and decided to spend quality time with her extended family in Brussel.Dr. Zantoka remained focused and optimistic and never gave in to the disappointments that were constant in his way from the incorrigible residents who would go to another town to seek medical help that he offered.

Dr.Zantoko enjoyed the support of the town mayor, a sincere and humble man who explained the situation in detail and stated clearly that the small town had not had an interaction with blacks, making it quite hard to gain trust.

Besides, the mayor was also compassionate; he helped the doctor in times of financial crisis by offering a better job.

After earning a degree in economics and political science, he started the Getty oil partnership company that made him a young millionaire and the wealthiest man of his time. He lost his way later in life when he decided to prove his father wrong.

A funny incident later happened, where Paul, the favorite Getty grandchild, got kidnapped. Getty was unwilling to pay any sent as ransom as he feared that saving one grandchild would mean saving the 14 grandchildren he had for; paying for ransom normally attracts other criminals who take advantage of the situation to extort money the victims, more so when they get paid. A careful analysis shows that if a ransom is not paid, there are higher chances of fewer people being kidnapped, and if ransoms are paid, more people get kidnapped. During the captivity period, Paul showed a great personality, courage, prudence, and patience that encouraged endurance to face hardship.
