THE LIBRARY AS A RESOURCE

A library refers to a place where students can quietly study, do homework, assignments, and projects while obtaining help on the subject or discourse of study. The library offers the learners access to tremendous information. The items found in the library include but are not limited to; books, magazines, newspapers, DVDs, and computers. The facility makes it easier for students to access invaluable resources for their study needs.
On October 22nd, one of the library’s staff members joined us via a Zoom meeting. She discussed the operation of the library during the COVID-19 pandemic. Students must have an online account to access and book a study space. The dramatic operational changes included a decrease in the number of people entering and the number of persons the library can accommodate at any given time. She also elaborated on how students who do not live in the city could borrow books and get their materials to mail out while digital books came in handy.
I also received an email from Angela Asherbranner, a library staff with some helpful link called a quick find. This platform allows students to search library resources in one place. A quick find is a lifesaver for students who have limited time in the hands. Another link is Spark. It contains modules that focus on research, writing and learning. It is quick, user-friendly and efficient to use.
Therefore, a library is an invaluable resource for learners and book lovers who would like to enhance their educational content. Most importantly, libraries are an excellent platform for making progress. The libraries help us with the reference material, like how to cite and reference correctly.
