During presidential campaigns and nominations, the parties and people fighting for these positions always argue and try to please the people who will be voting with different ideas and things they will do to the people immediately after they elect them. Some always lie to people, and after voting and giving them these positions, they change abruptly, and they begin mistreating the people who elected them into these positions. Therefore, people should be more careful when selecting members to lead their nation to ensure that everything will be okay. Being the presidential candidate’s policy advisor, there are some issues that the candidates always put effort into. The main problems include economic matters, social and political issues. These are the everyday things that the candidates have put a lot of emphasis on. As a candidate fighting for being the president of the nation, you should consider the essential things that will help improve the lifestyle of the people you are leading, the necessary and crucial ways to ensure that the economy is improved. Everyone is working and has an income source by creating employment, social relations, and political affairs. Therefore, this paper will focus on these significant issues of economic, social, and political issues.
As a policy advisor of the candidate fighting for the position of being president of the country, I have to ensure that I help him with knowledge and information about all these elements and ensure that people’s needs will be covered and improve everyone’s lives in the society. I should also provide some of the significant concerns after electing the candidate to be the nation’s president. As a president, one is supposed to look for ways that will help improve the lifestyle of the people; the only way that a president can help enhance the lifestyle of the people in the country is by ensuring that every person is employed and get a source of income that one can use and sustain his or her family (Hanna, 2016). The presidential candidate will ensure that many companies will be built and diversified to every area and ensure that they can be employed in these companies without discrimination. The people who are not skilled with all what is needed to be in the industries will be trained and professional to ensure that the quality of products produced is high after employment.
One of the significant ways to improve people’s lifestyle is by ensuring that they have daily income where they can earn and make sure that their family is well and financially stable. Unemployment has been one of the significant problems affecting the nation and even the world; this problem can be solved by having a good president in the rule. The presidential candidate will also ensure the economy’s continuity by providing investors from the other nation who will invest in the country and employ the government’s people without a job opportunity. The third will be availed if only the people elect a good leader to lead them. Business people will also be advantaged as they will be able to access loans at a lower interest rate. When banks offer a lower interest rate on the loans given to people in financing their business operations, people will be encouraged to acquire them. They will expand their businesses, which will boost the nation’s economy. Transport and communication networks will be improved to ensure that people can carry out business without experiencing any vehicle and communication line issue. If business people and farmers carry out their operation peacefully and do not incur any problems, this will boost the country’s economy, and the nation will grow as one.
Social relation of different people in society has remained to be another challenge in society. Diverse companies have different norms and ways of living, and they always dislike associating with other community traditions and models. This always brings many challenges as conflicts still emerge at any time, and they are challenging to solve and drawback the nation from progressing with all other activities that should be done. Therefore, a good leader can ensure that all these problems are covered, and society can prosper as one community. Nation cannot grow economically with divided societies and people with their different views from those of others, this cannot be possible and definitely the nation will just fail and would not be able to accomplish their goal. The unity of different cultures is a sign of prosperity to a nation as it can carry all operations as one thing. This can be achieved by sensitizing people and educating them that there should avoid conflicts based on society matters (Taylor, 2000). There should also be national competitions, including games and sports, cultural dances, and even other activities that promote the country’s national unity and avoid some of these beliefs spread in societies. National everyday activities in a nation will ensure that people from different cultures socialize and interact. This will reduce conflicts in the community, and people will have other positive beliefs that they are the same and no need for disputes as this will draw back the national prosperity. The president will also ensure interaction in education institutions to end society’s belief that people have in their minds. Different cultures’ social relationships should be considered to ensure people’s good welfare and unity among their members.
Apart from the economic matters that the president should put more efforts to ensure that people can sustain themselves and the economy of the nation growing as well as good social relations of people being enhanced and being improved, there is also another matter which is of great importance and should be considered to ensure the development is alright and that is political matters of the nation. Political systems in the nations need a good leader who will be able to improve the and bring change to the society by ensuring that there are better ways in which politics and voting is carried in the country. Politics is one of the significant elements of why there have been many conflicts and fights worldwide and many unnecessary issues. Politics systems in the country should be done correctly. This will ensure peace, and no problem will arise due to politics being unfair on some other practices that always occur due to politics. There is democracy in the country as one can vote for the leader who wants to be the leader; this has given people chances to elect whoever they want without being influenced by anyone.
To improve the country’s political systems, there are several ways to ensure that its political systems have been enhanced to better the nation. By practicing all the three ways of improving politics, the country will move into other levels. The first way of improving the strategies is by halting Electoral College; presidential elections should be based on the nation’s people’s popular votes. The second ways are by the imposition of term limits that will ensure that the senators and other members who have been reelected can stay in office for quite a good time and do away with some of the leaders who spent most of their times being reelected again in the positions that they have been leading. Leaders are not serving the public, but instead, they are interested in self-benefits, and this is ethically not good; they should be willing and devote themselves to helping people and not for self-gains. The last way the political systems will be improved is to make the voters rank order their preferences and ensure a runoff of the two best candidates (Van Sant, 2018). A political leader who will not support this will not need helping people by changing the systems but will benefit. By ensuring all three measures, the political systems of the nation will be improved.
In conclusion, a presidential candidate should ensure the things that he promised people are delivered. Leaders should not be more concentrated on material gains, but they should be more interested in serving the nation’s people most efficiently. They should ensure that the nation’s economy has been improved by providing that every person is working and there are many opportunities for everyone. Social relations of the people in the country should also be improved by enabling people to interact and do away with believers of people toward certain societies; political systems should also be improved and ensure that leaders who have been elected in different positions have performed their duty the nation well. People when voting for the kind of leaders to support them in the country should ensure that they choose people who will serve them without taking advantage of them in any way. The majority of them are not interested in doing the public’s needs, but instead, they are interested in self-gains and things that will benefit them and not society. Through satisfaction, if all these issues, one can be allowed to be a president not by name but in action.
