Problem Solving
I would like to solve one problem by using a problem-solving process, which is low motivation at the workplace, following what I have learned in this chapter. It is known that every employee always aspires to be recognized as a member of their workplace. However, there are some occasions where leaders always do not notice the employee’s contribution as compared to the staff member’s opinion recognition (Frank & Castek, 2017). First and foremost, I would like to focus on addressing the matter since I am a victim, and I have come across individuals who encounter a similar problem within their career. It is always rare for an individual to get employed in their exciting position along with their dream company, get the benefit and earn a better salary from an organization, but still focus on quitting the job. Following the content that was learned in the module, to solve this problem, the first step will involve understanding the factors leading to the contribution of low motivation at workplaces. Through my evaluation, I tend to think that problem may be caused by poor coordination between leaders and the employees. These are often seen where the leaders are never giving in to subordinate members an opportunity to express their opinions at the workplace. Due to this trait, the leaders always fail to appreciate the other subordinate input within an organization. The approach to these problems can be observed in two dimensions. First, the leaders should identify the strategies that enhance the morale of their employees to avoid demotivated at work. Secondly, the leaders should involve employees to participate in the decision-making process to enhance solving the rising problems at the ground level, thereby leading to teamwork at workplaces.
The leaders and employees are known to be the problem owner within an organization. These can be seen if in case leaders force earning respect from the employees through correcting their mistakes publicly, which shows harassment to the employees since the leader did not follow the right approach or channel to fix them. Thereby the relationship between the leaders and employees deteriorated, which may lead to verbal and physical abuse. To solve the issues, I would approach the two parties and enhances their understanding concerning the differences in human behavior depending on their weakness at workplace. The main aim was to bring the two parties to come into reconciliation and enhances understanding to solve their misunderstanding. The problem is known to be associated with poor or lack of tolerance, understanding, and communication. Thereby through open communication, individuals are able to understand each other hence solving the problems. This is done through the creation of an open communication environment.
Disaster preparedness enhances one to protect their home and the entire family. A family preparedness plan ensures the safety of family members during the disaster strikes. For a family to combat any disaster, the plan should be as follows. i) Identifying hazards. This help to identify the type of disaster that may occur, thereby leading to coming up with measures that address the disasters. ii) Holding family meeting (Frank & Castek, 2017). This is essential in reviewing the disasters and hence assigns every family a responsibility. It also ensures the discussion of families concerning evacuation during emergencies like earthquakes and fire. iii) Prepare. To ensure successful preparedness, first aid training is part of the activity. This involved teaching family members how to use first aid kits like a fire extinguisher. iv) Practicing the plan. Practicing the plan within the family members is to enhance that everyone is well informed with the demands of plans. Emergency preparedness kit may include the staff like water, food, medical items, flashlight, batteries, sanitations, and toiletry items. The kit will include some whistle, cell phone, garbage bag, dusk mask, among others. The suggested foods to be carried are protein bars, cereal, dried fruit, and jerky, among others. Water was to be carried that can satisfy all the family members and all the factors that help to enhance the comfortable life for the whole family.
Making a sound decision is considered in this process where the activity I involved in deprived me of a chance to stay with my family. Being an entrepreneur makes me not have maximum time with my family; therefore, to bridge the gap, I would employ the technique of sound mind decision-making (Frank & Castek, 2017). I will hire individuals who will be able to help me in the farm operation. The hired individuals will have to be living in the upcountry to enhance easier work. I will also employ a few relatives who are within the upcountry. I can as well move with the whole of my family to upcountry to enhance proper management of my farm and only travel out countries for sales. The outcome of my decision was pleasant to my feature outcome. Through these decisions, I will give my family the attention and parenting responsibility that they may require. However, hiring individuals to work for me was relatively cheap since the hired individuals have to incur transport costs. Through hiring, I did save time and energy that I used for upcountry traveling.
Decision making is known to be an essential part of problem-solving. Critical thinking is used in problem-solving hence enhancing decision-making techniques. It involves the practice of analyzing, collecting, and information assessment in a good manner. The objective known for decision making is to help to reach an actionable conclusion through the use of critical thinking to enhance the acceptance of a particular conclusion. They’re believed to be numerous steps that involve critical thinking that is the identification of the problem and defines it’s accurately, after which the proposal of the potential solution follows, among others (Frank & Castek, 2017). Critical thinking is known to be based on concepts like truth, logic, alternatives, and context. Cause and effect differences between the relationships are directly figured by the logic. It plays a big role in decision making since it enhances the accuracy of prediction concerning the potential impact solution on systems and individuals. Truth is known to be unbiased data revolving around an event.

Critical thinkers are known to be good problem-solving sources since they are able to determine useful information towards solving the problem. Therefore it’s clear that upon evolving critical thinkers in various challenges at some point in life where approach and skills to enhance the determination of these problems are required. For instance, when a teacher employs the use of introspection to supervise the exams, the students will not have a chance to cheat in that exams but to think and reason to help them answer the questions appropriately. Therefore it’s clear that students will critically think and use knowledge, data, and facts to enhance solving the problems. Solving problems are always based on weaknesses and strength. It’s known that compassionate energy is triggered to enhance problem analysis, which enhances enough data and facts on how to handle the situation. Optimism induces persuasion, thereby leading to positive choice-making.
Implementation is known to be the process that involves the culmination of every work to enhance the solving problem and attention to detail. The stages involved preparing and planning the implementation of the solution, monitoring and implementing the action, and analyzing and reviewing the success of the actions (Frank & Castek, 2017). The implementation plan will consist of the desired outcome brainstorm, responsibility assigned to individuals, conducting a risk assessment, and delegate and create implementation risk. They are putting the decision in place will involve evaluation implementing the solution, how to correct what goes wrong, how to plan for action, and why you should plan for action. Monitoring and evaluation will be through assessing and tracking the results and their intervention of the program throughout life.
Creativity is known to be linked with the qualities of fundamentals of thinking and how to explore the experience like tolerance and flexibility of fear and ambiguity of unknown. The barriers of creative thinking may include reinforces a positive outlook, not being minded, inability to define the problem, unable to control the mistakes. There are numerous obstacles to thinking in decision-making.
