Project description

This project will include the procedures, policies, challenges, documentation, and modifications that can be used in support of the capabilities of compliance and the accessibility for the equipment of ICT, its services and systems in colleges with physically challenged students. Mainly, the project will focus on addressing the challenges such as the factors blocking the service delivery within the campuses, the activities, and programs that are undertaken by the physically challenged students, and the challenges facing the with visual impairments. Various services will be supported by the project to help in ensuring that it reaches the highest level of applicability possible. Am on the services that the project addresses are portals, digital signs, applications powered by Google, online management of exams, use of digital textbooks, and the use of websites that are modified and meant for the learning purposes. While the project addresses the specific areas listed, the project may touch on other various areas that are related to different areas of discussion (Conceptualizing ICT, n.d.). All the areas will be evaluated to be approved and incorporated into the scope of the project following their identification.

The scope of the project

The projects aim at creating the policy of creating the accessibility of ICT in colleges. The policy is to be defined by the drafted procedures, the most appropriate practices of using ICT in colleges, and the guidelines that need to be offered to the users of ICT. Also, the need to get a coordinator who controls the ICT services that shall be offered and also offers other additional professional and basic support to the users is addressed (Lv, 2014). The hired person, therefore, should be able to meet the expectations such as advising and acting as a consultant to the other members of his or her constituent campus.

The projected will consider the ways of integrating various sectors such as the ways of integrating the reviews of the of accessibility into other processes of the project, the program’s procedures that it may involve it, and other portfolios. The integrations follow the policy that is set to govern the ICT accessibility in the specific colleges. The integrations should also be legal regarding all the legal procedures and regulations of their respective colleges as well as the federal government rules and regulations. To make the project succeed in the proposed areas, the process of integration keeps its focus on the addressing the complete services and applications of the procedures and the cycle in the matters regarding compliance to accessibility and the assessments that follow the implementation of the ICT applications in the college setups (Bajt, 2011). Other maintenance procedures are also included to ensure smooth applications and operations.

The project also aims at making the strategies that are applicable in prioritizing the application of ICT and its application in colleges. It makes the remediation for various services of ICT such as development, design, delivery, testing, communications, and support.

Clients and customers

The project will mainly be applied in the colleges and the institutions of higher learning. Therefore, the main users of the project are expected to be the learners on the colleges, the college’s management teams, and the learners faced with various disabilities.

Benefits and challenges.

The project will ensure that the students suffering from various disabilities will be able to meet their academic goals through the application of the ICT programs. It will also ensure that colleges use ICT services to nourish their teaching techniques such as including online teaching. However, the project has a drawback following the fact that the installation of the systems and their maintenance could be expensive.

Project criteria

The project is committed to the provision of the deliverable that is scheduled to meet the aim of the specific colleges. Also, it is committed to ensuring the widening the accessibility of the ICT services in the colleges. The widening of the accessibility includes having an effective program of communication to ensure that all challenges encountered are addressed in good time.
