QUESTION 1
According to Lee and Jung(2020), carrying out a SWOT analysis involves deriving the respective strengths, weaknesses, opportunities, and respective threats that face a particular organization. Focusing on the aspect of strengths, Peter and Paul have the financial strength concerning the two businesses’ combination. This implies with the combination means their financial outcome increases compared to when they only owned the particular Yabba Yaba brewery. Deriving from this aspect, Peter and Paul also have the opportunity of a larger workforce compared to when they own the small brewery. This aspect also means they are to serve a larger customer base as compared to before. However, despite these opportunities, they face various challenges that, if not sorted, could lead to a downfall(Lee & Jung,2020).
The particular challenges in this aspect involve the possibility of losing employees. This implies the employee engagement is low; thus, employee retention is at risk. This scenario is seen to be caused by the aspect of poor communication and feedback concerning Peter and Paul and the respective employees. The particular managers are experiencing the challenge of blending many personalities into a cohesive team that would align with the particular organizational goals. This aspect has lead to deterioration in communication and relationships in the respective organization. It is seen that Peter and Paul are busy with the financial aspects other than also focusing on employees’ concerns through integrating proper communication. The aspect of communication is a crucial element concerning operations in respective organizations. According to Keyton(2016), the sole purpose of communication in a given organization is to provide the platform for effective transfer of information, effective coordination, and fully sharing the organization’s respective feelings and emotions (Kazak,2019). All these perspectives lead to effective communication in the work environment.
The aspects dealing with communication channels majorly focus on the path of communication and whether it’s delivered formally or in an informal state. Keyton (2017) argues that the particular formal aspect concerns transfers of information through the level of authority in the organization. This means that information is passed from the upper management to the subordinates. On the other hand, the informal perspective tends to relate to the information shared among colleagues, which, in most cases, involves personal information. A point to note is that their greatest challenge was to balance between the aspect of informal and formal communication concerning the respective employees in the organization for Peter and Paul.
The particular theory that explains this scenario involves the complexity theory concerning organizational behavior(Stern,2018). This particular theory tends to emphasize the aspect of dynamic other than maintaining rigid aspects. Focusing on Peter and Paul, they face employee retention challenges because of the rigid policies to implement to the organization through their leadership. This implies providing rules that should be followed whatever the circumstances and not getting opinions from the subordinate. In this aspect, Peter and Paul considered they were right at all times. This implied that the employees’ respective concerns could not be heard, creating the level of job dissatisfaction, thus low enthusiasm from the respective employees. The explanation here focuses on integrating flexibility into the system other than enforcement of the rigid ideas on how they expect the team to operate.
The other perspective concerning theories involves the French and Raven’s five bases of power. According to Stern(2018)that this approach focuses on the identity of power in a given organization and, in this aspect, provided five bases of power. For instance, in our case, Peter and Paul had the legitimate power of being managers of the respective two branches. This implies it is their duty to the proper manager and deal with the respective challenges that the company faced. Peter and Paul preferred sitting in their respective offices dealing with small issues other than facing the big challenge of utilizing the big opportunity of properly expanding the respective business. Also, another aspect that focuses on this theory is the realization of other powers in the company in this scenario, the representatives of the Union. This will definitely involve creating the right relationship, which will foster a good working relationship. In the same case, the concerns of workers through the union will be heard and sorted. This implies for Peter and Paul; it was preferable to deal with the representatives amicably rather than view them as a problem or issue in the business. In this case, the particular assumption is that Peter and Paul were a bit inexperienced in running the larger company as it posed a lot of challenges that they were not yet prepared to handle. The best approach for this scenario is to plan an effective framework that would create stability and bring everybody on board.

Question 2
The particular recommendation will focus on implementing a change framework that would bring positive operation and productivity to the respective company. The first aspect to be sorted by Peter and Paul should majorly focus on the aspect of communication. This implies understanding the correct channels and the direction of communication that should be implemented in the organization. For instance, the organization has become big since the acquiring of the particular booze-Cruze brewery, thus means managers could not be able to deal with every employee at a personal level because of the demanding requirements of leading a big organization. This implies implementing suggestions boxes and having sessions with the union representatives to get the respective employees’ concerns (Chung et al.,2016). Dealing with the employees’ concerns as the first element will aim to create the correct work environment. This implies that the right pay implemented for the employees and improvement of the working condition will create job satisfaction, leading to employee engagement.
The needs theories come to play in this aspect, where each employee has needs based on the level they find themselves. According to Champoux(2020), once an individual’s needs are satisfied, the particular person is sorted and ready to go. Focusing on this particular framework, the particular employees under Peter and Paul would be motivated for their tasks. This implies they would find better ways to work for the sole purpose of achieving the goals of the particular organization. Employees engaged in a particular workplace tend to stay in the company for a long time(Chumg et al.,2016).
The next aspect will focus on their particular policies in the organization. Focusing on the complexity theory, it’s derived that the better path is to adopt dynamic other than rigid. This aspect for Peter and Paul means that they should be ready to aspect new ideas to implement change in a particular organization. This could be done by sharing ideas with the subordinate of better ways of selling a particular product. They should also be ready to get advice from those who have been in the business before them. For instance, those employees at the particular booze Cruze who have a lot of experience could benefit the company as a whole. The level of flexibility and dynamic will breed positive change in the enterprise. This will definitely increase the particular product for the near future.
The aspect of teams is an important element for the eventual success of a particular enterprise. The next aspect will involve Peter and Paul to create teams but first to understand the relationships existing in the teams. The aspect of teams has become an essential and needed element in every business organization currently. This is because of the greater impact they give, providing a competitive edge to the respective organizations.Stern(2018) claims that well-integrated teams are more effective than groups in their respective organizations. This implies that the difference is that particular groups focus on individual diversity and sharing ideas. In teamwork, the focus is to work collectively by combining all the individual’s efforts in the team. Focusing on this aspect, the element of multiteam systems is considered the best approach. This implies the integration of two or more teams to work towards a common objective collectively. This increases the effort, and the result would definitely give results. A point to note is that a factor should be integrated for the particular teams to be effective. The first aspect involves ensuring enough resources are available. Another aspect focuses on structuring the teams effectively and ensuring effective leadership. The element of trust between the team members is also essential.
This approach is derived from the particular informal theory concerning organizational behavior. This particular theory focuses on the relationship that is formed within the company. Through this approach, Peter and Paul would be able to create the right teams that would work together to achieve the respective company’s set goals. This aspect implies employees who could function well are those with an already established relationship. This also means they would be easier to manage, and their teams will work more effectively other than having teams with individuals with no relationships. A point to note is while evaluating the relationships; the particular relationships should only have a positive focus as other combinations have negative intentions for the company.
Will all this aspect be implemented and considered the framework will take Peter and Paul to another level as the work environment will be perfect with the right workforce, motivated to perform their duties to their level best. The projection will definitely lead to a positive outcome as the particular productivity would increase tremendously.
