Dear Sir/Madam,
TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN
I am pleased to recommend Tina to enrol as a PhD student in Public Policy at the University of Texas School Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs. I have known Tina for the last two years, the period which she has been working as my senior communication advisor. During this period, she proved to be professional and an important staff in our public affairs office who is dependable and possesses the best interpersonal skills necessary in any organization.
Tina is intelligent with good analytical skills. She has excellent communication ability in both oral and written forms. She can articulate arguments based on facts and critical thinking. Her ability to work with the staff proved that she could be a good team player. Over these years, she has been a mentor and advisor to many, including me. Her resilience enabled other members of the staff to seek advice from her since she is approachable.
During her time in this department, Tina played a critical role in communicating and explaining the role of major defence policies the Americans; she fluently explained the DOD Policy for preventing Civilian Causalities, Security Clearances and Background Investigations, Africa Defense Policies, Argentina Declassification Project, Artificial Intelligence-Project Maven, Project Inclusion/Diversity and Equity Initiatives Across the Department of the Army. Her role in communicating on the Army Housing crisis was remarkable. She also did an exceptional job in creating awareness on the novel COVID-19 and other related policies regarding the pandemic. Tina has been vocal in outlining Special Operations policy and operations of this department. In fact, her outstanding dedication and hard work enabled her to become DOD Advance Public Affairs Instructor of the year.
Tina has been consistently challenging herself to learn new ideas and different point of view. She has been critical about concepts looking for more details beneath the surface. She has been very passionate about her work. She loves studying and so far, she has earned her two Master’s Degrees.
Tina can be a valuable asset in your PhD program. She is a servant leader, and she has had a successful career in serving the US government. If she gets an opportunity to study a doctorate program in Public Policy, she will further add to her ability to make decisions, design effective public policies and navigate complex political and policy issues.
Tina has my highest recommendation to be enrolled in the PhD program at your university. Her integrity, handwork, diligence, professionalism and analytical skills can lead to academic excellence. If there is any information that you need regarding her candidacy, do not hesitate to contact me.
