Issue of the language barrier
Getting to interact with people from different cultures might have been a little bit challenging for me at first. The first thing that came to mind was the issue of the language barrier. I thought it would be a challenge during our counseling session. Having looked at her social life, I thought she was depressed due to her difficulties. First, she quit her job due to pregnancy, which means her income level was low, considering that she was divorced. Also, at her age, she was too young to have a 14-year-old child, meaning she delivered her child at a young age, which might translate to incomplete education status. Family responsibilities are a significant factor in why she does not continue her career search. Even though she would want to provide effectively, gender roles still hold her back, which is a significant issue in Africa; the cultural perspectives influence her views.
