Over 70% of the shares of this company are owned by the public investment fund of Saudi Arabia. The company has been listed as the largest company in the Middle East. This company is the second largest globally in the production of ethylene glycol and the year 2013 it was ranked as the fourth most abundant chemical producer in the world.

This is a very critical business strategy that ensures that goals of a company are realized at the right time, this is possible through essential resources of supply that are reliable (Hahn, Gerd and Josef Packowski, 46).SABIC company top leadership is quite aware that, the issue of supply chain management is not all about operational and functional areas only, but it is a crucial issue that calls for top leadership attention from the company. SABIC company should always, prioritize, the safety of all their workers, people in the vicinity of the company as well as ensure that the environment is safe and clean too. This is because the chemicals may be very harmful to both human beings plants and even animals.
