The key issue in the company was bribery. The employees bribed the government official and got a 500 million dollar contract. Ahmed was focused on the ethics policy following his ten years’ experience building a local reputation for building economic development. The company was found engaged in bribery issues that lead to huge fines by the US government.
Ahmed handled the bribe situation inappropriate was by identifying the violation. He believed that bribery not only a violation of law but also a contraction of the ethics policy. He also highlighted that the cases were known after the contract was issued and would result in a financial crisis and goodwill loss.
