Yesterday, we walked briskly down to the pond like lovers on vacation in Cabo. It was quite hot outside; anyone could cook fry eggs in the sun. Like two dolphins, human dolphins, we went swimming in the water. Inez did a spectacular cannonball off the dock and splashed water around the place. Having swum for hours, we got hungry and ate cold vegetable sandwiches under a huge tree that looked like an extraterrestrial canopy. Thereafter we took a walk in the woods under the incredible canopies. At the end of the day, bugs started biting us, tiny buzzing bugs they reminded me of Gulu, Uganda. We headed home just in time to see the sun setting, the goddess of fire and light, bowing for the night.
