Incidence Response Communication
Incidence response communication is a communication process to alert users that a particular web or software is experiencing slow performance or temporary outage. It is commonly used in situations where non-stop functionality is expected.
This communication helps to minimize disappointments that the users may experience during that period. Any issue that affects a 24/7 operating software or webpage affects many people in silence (Wang and Park, 2017). Communication helps to prevent more people from getting trapped in an outage system to use alternative networks or software to achieve what they want as the situation is looked into.
Incident response communication helps the users know that the system failure is all over, and restoration is underway. There may be no more panics and complaints about the same. A system failure makes users of the same system panic a lot and feels wasted, especially when they need urgent access (Pfeffer, 2016). Communication is important in keeping the users updated on the progress of the return to normal.
This communication is important in making personal plans to avoid failures as a result of the outages. With proper incident communication, one can make a good plan for his/her activities (Ahmad, Maynard, and Shanks, 2015). This aids prevention of unprojected problems that may be caused by system failures.
