The Five Further Analysis Questions
Based on the interview process carried out in the household, there is no gender division that has been observed among the individuals present. Tasks are divided into the household depending on individual schedules. When dividing the chores, persons with busy schedules are given more work than those with no tight schedules. The women in the house do most household work, whereby they partake in all domestic works in the household. Their doing more household chores helps build stronger work ethics in the family, hence adequately teaching the children vital life skills and teaching them the importance of self-reliance.
Question 1
Men should still do things such as opening doors for women, standing until a woman is seated then later walking outside the sidewalk. This is because a gentleman diligently opens the door for a lady and try to abide by the basic rule of etiquette for those women who wish to accept the offer. It happens mostly when individuals are leaving an establishment where the doors open outwards, and they tend to encounter a woman in. As such, it is decent and cautious to open the door for the lady and wait until she is seated, then later walk outside. It may cause immense discomfort among individuals, especially when a man’s actions towards a woman are interpreted as being aggressive.
Question 2
Women should retain their birth names upon marriage since there is no law that permits the change of names after marriage. However, most individuals are still alive; hence, most of them tend to take the man’s last name after marriage. On the other hand, the man should not take the woman’s last name after marriage. The male who takes the female’s names is rare. However, most females tend to change their last names after marriage and not men.
Question 3
The research on male pregnancy should be encouraged and supported by federal funds because there are immense perceptions on the understanding of male involvement in childbirth and pregnancy. There are numerous plans to engage the male in child and maternal health, especially in most middle-income countries where male pregnancy participation has been very low. There are many factors that hinder males from engaging in maternal and child health; hence, there is a dearth of studies on the perceptions about men’s involvement in the delivery and pregnancy care. This calls for the need to have immense research on male pregnancies, a research that would fully be supported by several federal governments.
