In your reply, you have said that “France is quite ignorant of their views of the Quran and takes modesty extremely light in Muslim’s case. ” I’m afraid I have to disagree with this as I think what France lacks is the general understanding of the French Muslims. The country is not fully aware of what Islam inspires or the way they practice their religion. Today, Islam is largely influenced by the Jihadist, and they are prone to fundamentalist ideals(“A French Islam is possible,” 2020). One clear thing is that most French Muslims do not identify with such a group, and thus it is the duty to show the state what they inspire to be an independent group that is the distance from extremist. Therefore, I disagree that the country is ignorant of Quran views. Maybe they lack a detailed understanding of how religion is practiced and what inspires, which does not warrant considering France as ignorant when it matters concerning Muslims. You have also stated that “France’s government should be well aware of the country’s past, not call one religion extremist for one’s actions; this has led to France’s boycott.” I’m afraid I have to disagree that France should not call one religion extremist for others’ actions considering individuals claiming to represent Islam has perpetrated the face of terrorism. Suppose the citizens are attacked by some people who justify themselves towards a religion regardless of the freedom of religious expression. In that case, the government will be forced to take strict security measures. Before other Islam countries opt for a boycott, they should first begin by condemning some of the extreme violence conducted by those who claim to represent Islam. Islam should distance themselves from the extremist action that is taken in the name of the faith by some individual. That is the first step they take before condemning the state and boycotting France products.
