Pressure ulcers mainly affect the patients in several ways like health burden, discomfort, and pain, loss of self-respect and privacy, unable to participate in social events, and characterized by low mobility, autonomy, and independence. It is every nurse’s responsibility to provide health care, treating and managing the patients. In this manuscript, nurses are trying to avoid and control pressure ulcers that have been an issue for many older people after undergoing the surgery process. Additionally, every single step that can be used to prevent pressure ulcers must be taken seriously. In this paper, Lydia hall’s theory and its three-dimension can help manage and avoid pressure ulcers. The study was conducted in a small hospital in New York in the surgical room. Core, care and cure being applicable in the research process.
The manuscript is implemented with evidence and logic facts in its explanations. Moreover, Lydia Hall’s theory’s three dimensions are combined with other holistic nursing approaches to ensure that the study aims are completed. The scholar uses appropriate research methods and evidence from other scholars to support the paper effectively. The writer has useful background information, and it is well written, organized, and easy to understand. It also brings out its main idea appropriately.
However, the manuscript has a weakness. The researcher should give both sides of the research, give its strength and weaknesses. Patients should not only pass the acute stage for Lydia Hall’s theory to be applicable but should be useful even in the critical stage. Lastly, this theory should apply to all people, children, adults, and youths.
