My research paper will be “A Mixed-Methods Research on the Diversity of the Workforce at the University of Lethbridge.” As per Poster(2008), the term variety in associations guarantees social value and respect for upset works. This research paper will use the University of Lethbridge to better understand the knowledge base, attitudes, and practices toward mental health. Additionally, the study will also determine the benefits and limitations of diversity in the workplace.

The University of Lethbridge was founded in the year 1967. It must have seen the transformation and adoption of diversity in state employment policies in the early 1960s. During the 1960s, there were debates on state employment policies. The equivalent compensation enactment turned into the sexual orientation separation strategy’s language to adjust ladies’ wages to men’s (Poster, 2008). Interestingly, equivalent open door enactment from the Civil Rights Act turned into the language of racial separation strategy to extend Africa American men’s admittance to area occupations (Poster, 2008). The language of pay equity, employee attitudes, and employee demographics will form the basis of discussions for this study.

My research paper’s primary goal will be to look at the workforce’s diversity at the University of Lethbridge. Specifically, I will want to determine the knowledge, attitudes, and practices toward diversity among the employees and the employers. Additionally, I will also look at the benefits and limits of workforce-diversity in an organization. Many workplace managers will agree that diversity can be both a problem and a solution to implementing diversity. Moreover, I will also get some quantitatively on the pay equity, employee demographics. Collected data will then be compared to come up with the Exploratory Analysis Report for the whole activity.

According to Bassett-Jones (2005), “diversity” envelops a scope of contrasts in identity, religion, lifestyle, or residency. Besides, ” diversity ” in the workplace consolidates more than agents’ diverse demographical attributes and considers social contrasts and insightful cutoff points. As per Poster, W. R. (2008), he noticed that the spread of corporate ” diversity” programs in the earlier decade implied reestablished consideration regarding the manner of speaking of decency in business relations. In contrast, Bassett-Jones also notes that demographics and ethnicity diversity are not the only factors leading to better results in an organization (Bassett-Jones (2005). I will start by defining “diversity” and some background information on the University of Lethbridge.

A mixed-methods study on workforce diversity will provide useful information about the perception, knowledge, and practices toward diversity in the working environment setup. Additionally, quantitively, information gathered on the pay equity and demographics characteristics will help determine the ethnic/race, gender, and educational balance. And the knowledge gained can be used to restructure the organizational setup based on the outcomes.
