OUTLINE
Rationalists versus Empiricists
Thesis Statement: The difference of opinion between rationalism and empiricism alarms the level to which people rely on sense experience to acquire knowledge. Rationalists believe those essential ways through which people’s knowledge and concept are developed independently of sense experiments. On the other hand, empiricists believe that sense experiment is a vital source of people’s knowledge and concept (Markie, 2017). In other words, rationalism is the certainty in deduction, innate ideas, and reason, whereas empiricism, is the certainty in the induction and sense perception. Rationalists usually argue that there are instances where the knowledge and concept’s content surpasses the information provided by the sense experience. Moreover, they develop explanations of how motive in some nature shows additional information concerning the world. Empiricists show balancing forms of thought. They create explanations of how experience gives facts that rationalists quote (Markie, 2017). Besides, empiricists outbreak the accounts of rationalists of how reasoning is a source of knowledge and concept.
