Entrepreneurial characteristic

In the interview with Mart & Rob, the first theory of the entrepreneurial characteristic observed is the planned behavior.  The first trait of planned behavior, the attitude, can be attributed to the start up of Teemil & Rapanui. Both Rob and Mart were influenced to start the clothing company after visiting the landfill site and watching the clothing industries’ damage to the environment. They developed an attitude and wanted to change the norms. Another aspect of planned behavior that is visible in Mart and Rob is the behavioral intention. The trait is even visible before they had started the companies; their purpose motivated them. The landfill site inspired them to come up with less distractive ideas that were environment and pocket friendly. They came up with the economic circular t-shirts that need not be dumped but recycled and reused. Due to motivation from keeping the environment clean, Mart & Rob have achieved something great.

The second theory of entrepreneurial charac teristicsobserved in Mart & Rob during the interview is the self-efficiency trait. The reduction of environmental pollution was their biggest motivation; it gave them the strength to face reality even though they both knew it was an uphill battle.  During the interview, Mart admitted that they knew it was a challenging task, but they were confident they could make it. He insisted that their love for the environment made them choose the hard way over the easy way. Their stance was evident when the interviewer asked mart, “you’ve always had this underlying desire to be sustainable and to be good for the environment.”  He insisted it was the reason why they had to make it. He acknowledged it’d been a ten-year journey of hard work, and they are proud of where they are going and where they are headed. The circular economy t-shirt is the way forward to the future.

The final theory of entrepreneurial characteristics observed in Mart & Rob during the interview is the cognitive-bias. This trait is observed the first time Rob and Mart Visit the Landfill how they absorbed the information on environmental pollution. They framed the problem caused by clothing industries and how they were influenced by that scenario to start up their company and their decision to be environmentally friendly. Their decision to start an environmentally friendly clothing system can be pointed to that one view of lorries dumping waste clothes. The second fact is their decision to use no plastic materials in their clothes to reduce pollution of water when there are being washed can be based on environmental influence. It is visible from the above observation that Mart and Rob exercised the characteristic of the entrepreneur.
