I choose Video: Privacy concerns (segment). The video basically addresses the major issue affecting the current generation, privacy, and data security, which is vital. Digital security and privacy protection are a major concern that if it is not dealt with amicably, it will cause misfortunes to the upcoming generation.

Most of our data are scattered online and handled by various organizations or websites that we visit and leave personally identifiable information, such as phone numbers and email addresses. They track our activities online and store the data inform of digital footprints, which can be used for marketing and future prediction. But, are our privacy being adhered to? No, it is not. For example, Facebook, one of the world’s largest social media platforms, deals with enormous data from various individuals who use their platform, thus giving them the privilege to control the data. However, they do not inform their users of what is happening with their data. These organizations, such as Facebook, have the ability to acquire a large amount of data and gather the most information about us and all aspects of our lives. Although this data can be used for future predictions, some individuals will feel their privacy is being infringed. From the perspective
of security and privacy, our concern is not just about confidentiality, integrity, and availability of the data stored in various systems firmly ingrained in the vital infrastructure of a different company, but our personal information that is being traded across other organizations.
