Technology is dynamic, and offices need to evolve with it. Firstly, technology helps offices to operate smoothly and efficiently. Acquiring up-to-date technology allows employees to be more productive and develop new skills in tackling tasks. Technological advancement entirely shapes an organization by making it more streamlined and integrated. More importantly, branches need to keep in touch with the head office to ensure that operations are appropriately coordinated. In the workplace, technology is like a facilitator that eases work and perfects activities. Contrarily, sticking to an out to date technology affects the quality of employee output and efficiency; therefore, output cost and time are increased. It is thus crucial for businesses to develop with the advancing technology.

Developing valuable office competence measures equips an individual with skills that help in the new workforce and other life ventures. A proper strategy is, therefore, crucial before settling on a particular competence to advance. A well-formulated approach will enable me to focus on developing diverse competencies. Different competencies will allow me to fit in any office, not necessarily the one in line with my recent occupation. Therefore, improving the skills should not be skilled towards the current rule but rather be open to the dynamic nature of the workforce.

A useful information flow model involves designing of data by use of resources, processing, and storage of information. Input is the initial stage where resources and materials necessary for completing a task are gathered. Secondly, the processing is the transformation of data to make it meaningful and understandable. The information is then sent to relevant parties (output) through a distribution channel such as emails, telephone, or fax. Lastly, data is stored for future reference either through memo and office files. An adequate flow of information in a business or office is critical to ensure that all stakeholders are at par regarding the company’s expectations.

The most recommendable way of improving reading is a continuous practice. However, the best way to practice is to involve fun while reading and enjoyable. Incorporating fun in reading will bring motivation and make the text more engaging, thus making it easy to comprehend. A charming book is easy to understand, and it generally boosts reading speed and vocabulary mastery. Frequently, the frequency in which one reads deprives pressure, thus allowing them to relax and flow with the text. Moreover, the process of reading, comprehending, and understanding the vocabulary centers in self-confidence. The belief in oneself will enable them to learn from their mistakes, thus sharpening their skills.

 

A successful presentation is characterized by proper communication and audience involvement. Firstly, understanding one’s audience is key in determining communication language and style. Perfect communication during the exhibition also entails an understanding of the presentation topic. It will boost audience understanding and participation during the performance. Again, it ensures that the matter being presented is adequately tackled and explored. A proper presentation further entails audience involvement through discussion, asking of questions, among other ways. Involving the audience makes them feel that they are a part of the performance this promoting work cohesiveness. It will also ensure that unexplored areas during the presentation are raised for discussion. The presenter is also able to make further clarification on matters through audience involvement.

 

Personal responsibility extends to the workplace, and it calls for employees to manage office equipment. Inadequate office facilities not only affect office functionality but also put risk on the employees. However, routine monitoring of office equipment helps correct potential risky issues before they arise. Thus productivity is increased, enabling employees to operate efficiently and professionally. Generally, maintaining office equipment is not only helpful to the company but also the employees. For instance, office computers are central operation units in any office. Supporting them would avoid unnecessary loss of information, which would be expensive and time-consuming to retrieve. Some organizations, however, have policies that require employees to replace faulty equipment. Likewise, maintenance will ensure that such occurrences are minimal.

It is time that managers give their employees freedom in workplaces to enhance their original thought and creativity. Employees who are free from unnecessary monitoring feel accountable for anything and want to give their best. The move will encourage them to explore open to learn and perfect their skills without the fear of criticism and punishment. Free employees further will fill the workplace with a new spirit that increases cohesiveness and interaction. It is an open world, and managers need to lay their guards and embrace teamwork rather than bossy motivated moves. The workplace should be a fun place to be. If workers are free, they will be productive assets to the company. All employees should adopt this measure where managers are more colleagues than bosses. It may not be a company’s policy, but an individual manager should settle on this management mode because it has proved fruitful.
