It is always the dream of every student to study in the best school in the world and to do what interests him or her most. I, therefore, chose to study at the school of international studies since I am more interested in studying international issues.  I am also interested in gaining a more understanding of all historical issues from different geographical regions. As I am joining this school, I have several goals which I will entertain to ensure I perform well in education while at the school. The first goal is to always stay top in my class. My second goal is to attain distinction grades in my final program grading. My third goal while in this school will be to form strong group work skills to ensure I become a functional group influencer in future. My last goal is to create a good relationship with all my teachers and fellow students to avoid problems with them.

Theories are a set of ideas which are always used to explain something about life or the world, more specifically an idea that has not been proved to be true. I can rate myself to be moderately strong in the ability to understand, evaluate and apply economic, social, and political theory in the analysis of historical events and contemporary international issues. This knowledge will be beneficial to me as I will have no problems in applying these theories to do my academic works. Many scholars have discussed the knowledge of theoretical analysis, and therefore, I read through different books to get background knowledge about it. To advance my knowledge of theoretical analysis, I will first continue undertaking more research to learn about the latest trend in theoretical analysis. Secondly, I will consult my teachers and classmates to learn more from them concerning theoretical analysis.

I also can communicate in a cross-cultural context. In this section, I can rate myself to be strongly able to communicate with people from different cultures while gathered together. Communication is a vital tool in an educational environment as it helps in creating a suitable environment for pleasant unity and excellent performance. From my past learning environment, we were taught how to communicate and relate with people from different cultures and thus am strongly convinced that I am strong in that area. My concern now while joining the school will be to make my communication ability extremely strong, and this will be done by firstly interacting with as many people from a different culture as possible to be at a position to communicate with them well. Secondly, I will continue to do more research on communication in a cross-cultural context. Thirdly, I will ensure that I understand the rules and regulations regulating communications in the school to always stay in the positive side of the law.

It is also important to note that I have the abi9lity to think and communicate in both written and oral forms. Written forms of communication are applied in essays, research and project reports. Oral forms of communication are applied in oral presentations and in class discussions. Both of these knowledge are important for education life and thus will be very important for my survival in this school. From my past education experience, I can rate myself as moderately strong and therefore, ready to learn and improve my skills on the same. To improve my skills on both oral and written communications, I will firstly conduct further research from different scholars to learn new ideas about written and oral communications. Secondly, I will ensure I pass through the rules governing oral and written communication in the school to always remain relevant while doing my academic communications.

I understand that it is also important to note that having the ability to understand, evaluate and apply quantitative and qualitative research methods in this school. These are the most widely used methods of research in the whole world and thus every student must be conversant with them. I can rate myself to be somewhat strong on qualitative and quantitative research methods and thus I have so much to be done to make myself extremely strong and be able to conduct my research when the right time comes. To advance my knowledge of quantitative and qualitative research methods, I will first continue undertaking more research to learn about the latest trend in qualitative and quantitative from different scholarly works. Secondly, I will consult my teachers and classmates to learn more from them concerning quantitative and qualitative research methods. Thirdly, will make sure I learn from the rules laid down by the school related to qualitative and quantitative research methods.

As I am starting schooling at Pacific, I have high expectations. I therefore expect to get high quality education and be successful in my education. I expect to attain good grades and perform well in all the assignments and exams. To ensure my education success, I will ensure I follow all the rules of the school and take seriously all my assignments and exams. I will also ensure I closely work together with my fellow students to get ideas from them and successfully complete the given tasks. I will also ensure I constantly regularly my teachers for a better understanding of all the concepts which I will not have understood in class. There are several challenges which I can foresee in future while studying in this school. Just to mention a few, I will find it to find new friends, secondly, the cost of education is currently on the rise and thus I might find it challenging to always maintain a zero balance status at the school. I will try to interact with as many people as possible to be at a position to find good friends and also look for part time jobs to sustain me and to pay part of my fees to eliminate the challenges.
