1.5.1. Small and Medium Enterprises in Kenya
The small and medium enterprises in Kenya may benefit from the study by better understanding the underlying supply chain management factors that influence the enterprises’ financial performance and be in a better position to deal with complexities that may hinder successful supply chain management. An efficient and effective supply chain will provide the basis on timely delivery and promotion of valued direction and innovative solutions for an efficient and effective supply chain.
Ruiru Feeds Limited
The study will be of great benefit to Ruiru Feeds Limited since it is the unit of analysis and the study is therefore, based on its management practices of the supply chain. The research could act as an eye opener to the enterprise on the issues facing the supply chain and its operation as a whole and to come up with approaches to track progress, solve problems considering the impact both upstream and downstream and also improve employees’ productivity which will enhance achievement of its objectives.
The National Government of Kenya
To the government, the study may provide an insight whether there is any link or relationship between supply chain management and financial performance of small and medium enterprises. This may aid in formulation of policies that can help enhance performance in the sector leading to improved GDP and later create job opportunities. This study can also give direction to the government of Kenya on how the supply chain can be made more competitive with world class supply chain management practices and strategies.
Scholars
Scholars will benefit from the study since it can be used as a point of reference for their studies as well as for further justification of the same. Similarly, the study may be used for the identification of research gaps for further researches to be done in the future. The study will ensure that scholars are able to realize that the problem or opportunity exists and that it needs to be addressed. It will also enable all kinds of scholars to derive important information on the subject.
The Researchers
The study will equip the researchers with theoretical and empirical literature into financial performance and provide them with a foundation for further research into the study of supply chain management and financial performance.
